Chase graduated early from Brigham Young University in 2011 and earned his J.D. magna cum laude from BYU Law School. He launched his legal career with a clerkship in Utah's Fourth District Court, followed by civil litigation practice at Winder & Haslam in Salt Lake County. There, he managed complex cases involving franchise disputes, intellectual property theft, and wrongful termination. Chase then transitioned to criminal prosecution, serving more than eight years across the Utah County Attorney's Office, Weber County Attorney's Office, and the Utah Attorney General's Office.
As a prosecutor, he handled a wide array of serious cases—including domestic violence, DUI, assault, homicides, fraud, sexual assault, child molestation, weapons offenses, theft, and narcotics—and successfully tried numerous matters in Juvenile, Justice, and District Courts statewide. He has trial experience on both sides of the courtroom, having litigated cases as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. He also served as municipal prosecutor for multiple Utah cities and delivered law enforcement training to agencies such as Lone Peak Police, Ogden Police, Weber State Police, and the Weber County Sheriff's Office. Drawing from his work in recovery courts—including as the designated prosecutor for Utah County Drug Court and Weber County DUI Court, as well as assigned public defender for Millard County Drug Court—Chase gained deep insight into addiction treatment programs, available court resources, and the broader criminal justice system. This comprehensive perspective equips him to anticipate prosecution approaches, identify rehabilitation opportunities, and craft more effective defenses for clients facing related charges.Today, Chase brings this extensive trial experience, specialized training, and insider knowledge to aggressive, strategic criminal defense representation throughout Utah. He is dedicated to safeguarding his clients' rights and pursuing the strongest possible outcomes in every case.
