What is Blood Alcohol Level Calculator?

An experienced criminal defense attorney will understand how to evaluate your blood alcohol content from an intoxilyzer test or a forensic blood draw. The blood alcohol content (“BAC”) of .05% means that someone has .05 grams of alcohol for every 100 ml of their blood.

As you consume alcohol your liver metabolizes the alcohol at a rate of about .01 per hour, the BAC level drops unless more alcohol is consumed. At Sitake & Wright, we scrutinize every aspect of the BAC and make sure the tests are given correctly.

A BAC calculator will typically include your age, body weight, type of alcohol you’ve consumed, number of drinks and the time since you first started drinking.

What Factors Impact Your BAC?

The more alcohol you have the higher your BAC will be. However, two different people who have the same amount of alcohol may have a different BAC test result. Someone’s body size will affect their BAC results as a smaller person will have higher BAC than a larger person. Having an empty stomach will also affect your BAC and cause someone to have a higher BAC than someone who has just had a meal. An individual’s body fat percentage will also affect their BAC since alcohol is not absorbed into fat tissue. The alcohol can be more concentrated in an individual with higher body fat.

Because of these variables, no BAC calculator can be completely accurate. Any results generated by a BAC calculator are approximations of an average healthy person’s BAC.

BAC Calculator Tool

The calculator below is an estimate and not legal advice and is to be used solely for entertainment and educational purposes.  You should not rely on any BAC calculator to decide if you are able to drive safely or operate heavy machinery.

By entering your gender, weight, number of drinks, type of alcohol consumed, and the time you spent drinking you can see an estimate of what your BAC may be.
